A small bag for the evenings that ask for less

Some evenings only need a few things: a wallet, a phone, a lipstick and keys. This bag is built for exactly that, small enough to hold against the body and firm enough to keep its shape when it is set down.

Design Highlights

The flap carries a frame of small flowers that runs along the edge and up to the handle mounts. The flowers are built from small beads, glass stones and pieces of fabric, which gives the surface depth without a printed pattern. The centre of the flap is left smooth and held by a round clasp in a gold tone. A short handle sits firmly in the hand, and a chain hooks onto the side rings to carry the bag over the shoulder or across the body, then comes off again through the carabiners. Inside, a zip pocket divides the space in two, so cards and small things stay where they were put.

How to Style It

With a long dress and fine sandals it fits a formal evening. Against a trouser suit it adds a softer accent without turning sweet. Worn without the chain it becomes a compact bag to hold in the hand, which suits a shorter dress and a jacket over the top.

A small bag that carries little and still turns the outfit.
