The long layer that carries you through the coldest stretch

When the temperature drops and the wind picks up, a long quilted layer does more for a day outside than a short jacket can. This one runs past the hip and onto the thigh, closing with a full front zip and finishing with a hood that stays where you put it, so the walk to the bus stop no longer decides how the morning goes.

Design Highlights

Narrow horizontal channels run the full length of the body and sleeves, giving the jacket its even, soft-lined shape instead of a bulky one. The hood is joined to a high stand collar that covers the neck when it is up and frames the face when it is folded back. A full-length zip sits on a clean placket line, and welt pockets at either side take cold hands. The cut stays straight and easy through the body, with room underneath for a thick knit.

How to Style It

Over a hoodie and jeans it is the straightforward answer to a weekend of errands. Layered across a knit dress and short boots it turns into something you can wear to dinner without changing. Keep the rest of the outfit close in tone and let the long line do the work, or add a bright scarf at the neck for contrast.

A jacket that earns its place by the door from the first cold week to the last.
