A long coat that brings warmth into a calm shape

The coat runs to the ankle and wraps the body in a soft, rounded form. The large hood sets a clear frame around the head, while the zip sits slightly off centre and gives the front a quiet tension instead of a straight line.

Design Highlights

The quilting runs in wide horizontal bands down the whole length, which spreads the volume evenly and keeps the coat from ballooning at the shoulders. The tie belt at the waist can be pulled in for a defined middle or left loose for a softer fall. The hood is cut generously enough to sit over a knit, and the zip closes to the collar so the chest stays covered. The hem stops at the ankle, which keeps the cold from working up the leg. The collar stands high enough to keep the wind off the neck.

How to Style It

Over a knit and straight trousers it reads long and steady for a cold morning. With a midi skirt and a low boot it turns softer for the evening. Tie the belt for shape, or leave it open and let the long line carry the look on its own.
