Leave the tight boots behind

A beautiful boot that leaves the foot cold, numb and sore by the end of the day is not doing its job. This pair is built the other way round: the vintage shape stays, and the inside is made soft enough to carry the foot through hours of standing.

Design Highlights

The leather look upper has a soft finish that gives with the foot rather than pressing against it, which is what keeps the toes from going numb on a long walk. The shaft ends just over the ankle and sits away from the bone instead of cutting into it. A block heel keeps the stance steady, and the sole is kept supple so it bends along the length of the foot rather than staying rigid. Some colourways carry a zip at the side, which makes the boot easy to get on without stretching the opening.

How to Style It

With jeans and a knit it reads as the plain boot for a working day. Against a midi skirt and a long coat the vintage shape gives the outfit its character. Keep the hem short enough to show the shaft, and let the soft finish be the only texture near the ground.
