A winter companion with a clear surface

The jacket is quilted with volume and falls generously over the body. The hood closes with a drawcord, the zip runs down the centre and the pockets sit at the side. What stands out is the surface, which catches the light as it moves.

Design Highlights

The horizontal seams hold the filling where it belongs and give the jacket its shape, which is what keeps it from flattening at the front after a few wears. The hood is deep enough to sit up on its own and draws in against wind at the collar. The centre zip closes the front in one pull, and the side pockets sit at hand height so nothing has to be carried. The shell has a light sheen that gives the plain colour some movement without turning into a shine.

How to Style It

With jeans and a plain shirt it reads as the jacket for a cold morning. Over a hooded sweat and walking trousers it turns into the layer for a weekend outside. Keep what sits underneath light so the quilting stays flat, and let the sheen carry the surface on its own. A plain trouser and a simple shoe keep the look quiet.
