A ballet flat that goes along all day

The shoe is flat, light and quick to put on. The upper has a soft suede look and lies easily across the foot, and a bow sits at the front as a quiet accent rather than a decoration that takes over. The sole stays thin, so the foot stays close to the ground.

Design Highlights

The bow is made from the same material as the shoe and lies flat against it, which keeps the front calm and stops the detail from catching when the shoe goes on. The opening is cut low and wide, so the foot slides in without a strap or a lace to fasten. The upper has a soft brushed surface that takes light gently instead of shining, and the sole is kept slim so the shoe bends with the foot as it walks. The edges are bound cleanly and the shape holds through a long day.

How to Style It

With straight trousers and a pressed shirt it reads clean enough for the office. Against a midi skirt or a dress it turns softer without losing the line. Keep the hem short enough to show the whole shoe, and let the bow be the only detail near the ground.

A flat that earns its place by the door and does the work of a heel.
